Title: Hunting the Unicorn, 0riginally written for the fabulous
minerva_fest.
Author:
therealsnape
Prompt: One of those stories in which we know where it's going -- toward sex and romance -- so the fun comes in seeing how it gets there. Premise: Minerva's a widow or a contented spinster who's never thought about being interested in women; Wilhelmina's a dyke, but, having been burned in her youth, she now has a strict "no straight women" policy. And yet, of course, they fall for each other anyway.
Rating: a very mild R
Word Count: 10K
Characters and/or Pairings: Minerva McGonagall/Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank
Summary: During her convalescense after the Stunner attack, Minerva enjoys a little light reading, i.e. a scholarly study on Unicorn lore. The tapestries of The Lady and the Unicorn lead to a most interesting hypothesis on love and the five senses. One that Minerva examines with her usual scholarly precision.
Warnings: None
Many thanks to my beta
tetleythesecond for hand-holding, cheer-leading, and generally being beyond wonderful.

Title: Wisp in the Willow
Author:
cranky__crocus
Pairing: Minerva McGonagall/Amelia Bones
Rating: PG-13 approaching R
Summary: Minerva McGonagall is visited by the ghost of a dearly-departed loved one.
Warnings: Canon character death
Author's Note: I wrote this poem in the summertime but was thinking about autumn and Samhain. It's 160 words and written with an odd rhythm; think of an echo if you can. I thought this was a more appropriate time to post it. Nervous about posting things (haven't comm-posted anything since 2007/8) but I hope you like it! [Cross-posting to other HP comms.]

This story was my entry in last summer's
reversathon. My recipient was
leni_jess, who had asked for a story that traced Severus's changing relationship with Minerva or Poppy or Hooch. But before posting could begin, we got the sad word that Leni had died unexpectedly.
I was pleased to be able to write this story in her memory. Leni Jess was a fine on-line friend and writer who brightened HP fandom with her presence and whose absence will long be felt.
My thanks to that fabulous beta,
therealsnape, who worked wonders with this story at very short notice.

The title is stolen from an Ingmar Bergman film of the 1950s, which was later the basis for the musical A Little Night Music. There's no similarity of plot, however.
My thanks to my brilliant beta,
